Nature’s Lab Green Tea Extract contains polyphenols, including epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a powerful antioxidant which has been the subject of extensive scientific research. One cup of green tea provides roughly 200 mg of polyphenols and has antioxidant effects that are greater than a serving of broccoli, spinach, carrots or strawberries.*

Green Tea Extract & Metabolism

The EGCG found in green tea extract may help inhibit the enzyme that breaks down norepinephrine, a naturally-occurring hormone and neurotransmitter responsible for signaling the fat cells to break down fat.* When this enzyme is inhibited, the amount of norepinephrine in the body increases, breaking down more fat for use as energy by cells that need it.* This increase in energy may correlate to increased metabolic rates, causing the body to have the potential to use energy more efficiently.*
